Ben and Gemma’s Vintage Wedding at Hey Green Hotel, Marsden

Yesterdays wedding at Hey Green Hotel, Marsden was a really relaxed friendly affair. The bride Gemma was so relaxed and funny it just rubbed off on everyone else.Ben is a pretty chilled out gut too.
Ben and Gemma had made some lovely touches like the candles in jam jars lighting the outside at night, the inventive photo booth props, the vintage bunting and great visitor cards.

Later in the evening we debuted our light painting speciality for this year, to say some of the guests we amazed is a bit of an understatement. It does help though when a some of the audience are lubricated. If you haven’t seen our light painting before it’s done using a combination of long exposure, light sources and flash photography. This is all done on a single exposure and can be seen straight away on the camera screen. even we are still amazed with the results and we’ve been doing it for a few years now.

Gemma and Ben love reportage style photography and wanted us to record the day as it unfolded without posed shots, can’t wait to show you the rest of the images and some of the great video of the day.

Tracy and Richard in East Sussex

Down on the farm with Richard and Tracy, another Sussex wedding that was an absolute joy to photograph, we used some new techniques on this wedding. Tracy has a horse at the farm which Amanda loved  and Richard is a blacksmith (how handy). At night we projected the images onto the side of the marquee, it provided a nice bit of entertainment for the crowd, it went down so well we will be doing it at every available opportunity now.

Just like the folks here at Tim Simpson Photography Richard loves his 2 wheels, just could not resist taking this photograph, all the tables were names after motorcycle makes, no Lambretta though still you can’t have it all.

Naming your wedding breakfast tables after something personal to you is very popular now, At Sarian and John’s wedding at Carlton Towers the tables were named after planes due to John’s connection with the RAF
