Isn’t it great to end the year in style, well we certainly did that with Keith and Gayle’s wedding at Mitton Hall, helped in no small part of course by Gayle and Keith’s sense of style. Mitton Hall is a sunning 15th century manor house with some great quirky additions, a fab place for a wedding.

I feel I’d got to know Keith and Gayle quite well since our first meetings and knew we had a lot in common, a good sense of fun for one. Back when the weather was slightly better we shot and engagement session around our home village of Uppermill which was good fun so we just took off where we left really.

After some initial scene setting shots (do you like the crystal ball image?) We met the girls getting ready in a lovely grand room. It so big I had previously shot a wedding meal in there with all the guests! Gayle looked truly amazing in her dress, it was a beauty. The bridesmaids dresses too were gorgeous, they were blue and white figure hugging numbers with a white bow on the back. I left Amanda shooting the preparations whilst I went off to photograph the arriving guests and Keith who was looking very cool. He’s a calm sort of guy, infact just minutes before the ceremony when a lot of grooms are stood there shaking he has helping his Mum fasten her shoe on his hands and knees!

The ceremony was great, we have had the pleasure of photographing a ceremony with this particular registrar before and I have to say he puts everyone at ease and has some good one liners. A particular highlight was Keith’s daughters reading, she was full of confidence, her public speaking was excellent. It was also lovely to See Vic and Nat who’s wedding we shot at The Inn at Whitewell back in March 2014, its a day or date I won’t forget as it was my birthday.  We have also subsequently shot their lovely new born baby Alice since then. A huge congratulations to you both on your new baby too. We also unexpectedly met someone else at the wedding too. Myself and Amanda were caught speeding early this year on separate occasions and ended up on a speed awareness course together! We also sat next to one of Keith and Gayle’s guests who recognised us from this classroom session, I guess you shouldn’t say that these things are fun but sitting next to him made it a lot more interesting and it was good to see him again!!

After the ceremony was our time to shine with the couples portraits, it was raining quite hard to we did the shots indoors but really there is no shortage of places to shoot in such a great looking venue as Mitton Hall.  With the super tasty meal over and the speeches dispatched it was time for the dancing, the dance floor was full to overflowing when we left later on and I bet that’s how it stayed all night.
