A rare and beautiful wedding at Stonyhurst College, Ribble Valley

I have photographed well over 300 weddings all over the country now and I have to say that Stonyhurst College is the most impressive architectural backdrop to any images I’ve ever taken. What a place!

Andy (an ex pro rugby player) was lucky enough to attend Stonyhurst, its because of this that Hannah and Andy could get married in this beautiful setting.

Looking at Stonyhurst College you might assume that this wedding would be a bit of a formal affair but nothing would be further from the truth. I always say that the feel of a wedding comes from the top down and its clear that Hannah and Andy are a relaxed fun and friendly couple. I really like to meet me bride and grooms before the wedding but our meetings have been over Zoom due to Covid, so that sometimes puts you on the back foot. Not so at all with these two, I felt super relaxed right from the start.

The Inn at Whitewell

Andy and Hannah just let me get on with it and we had a great time during our couples portrait part of the day, here and at the Inn at Whitewell. The Inn at Whitwewell is where the reception was held. The inn is set in amazing countryside and is one of my favourite venues, I have shot many weddings there and always enjoy the atmosphere. So for me it was just about the perfect wedding day and I’d say for everyone that was lucky enough to attend too.

I’m going to shut up now and let the photographs do the talking. I do hope that these images reflect what a great day it was for everyone and just how Hannah and Andy are so perfect for each other.
