We first met Jess when we were running light painting sessions at the Big Chill music and arts Festival in Herefordshire in 2010. We created some fantastic images together and stayed in touch. It was great to be approached by her and Damien to photograph their vintage wedding at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
It was at Jessica’s home in Manchester we got a first glimpse of The Dress. Sooo glamorous! We love 30‘s 40‘s inspired weddings. When Jess could be persuaded away from generously cooking up delicious treats, we took some getting ready shots. We sped over to the Royal Exchange to find the guests about to move up to the ceremony room and were just able to catch a few shots.
After the lovely ceremony , everyone headed to the Gentleman’s Room for drinks and catching up.
We had spotted a grand archway on a previous visit that seemed perfect for a bit of film star posing. When we got to Room, someone had kindly lent their gorgeous Morris Minor for some more wedding photographs. It had been duly decorated and we had brought along a vintage suitcase to pop on the top. How cool!
Jessica and Damien are real foodies and this was reflected in their choice of Room in Manchester City Centre for the wedding breakfast, the food really was exquisite. Many many congratulations Jessica and Damien, it really was a fabulously fun and stylish wedding!
