A Lovely informal Lincoln Wedding

It was Sarah’s suggestion to do our mini wedding shoot at Steep Hill/Bailgate area of Lincoln and considering we were only there for 15 minutes it was very fruitful.

I’ve been to Lincoln many times but have never come across Steep Hill, it’s a little gem of a place, I’d highly recommend a visit.

Whilst this was only a brief photo shoot and not a full days wedding photography for me we really did manage to pack a lot in to this lovely friendly Lincoln garden wedding. Sarah and James had shown some real imagination when planning their wedding and had constructed a wedding paradise in their own back garden. I often get asked what my favourite type of wedding is and it’s just this really. An informal, fun friendly day when couples have used some imagination and put their own stamp and personality on the proceedings.

Sarah and James’s friendly nature permeated all the way through this wedding, the ceremony was so relaxed and it was clear to see that this pair were incredibly comfortable together and so well suited, it really was heartwarming.

Whilst we had a wander around Bailgate and Steep Hill the guests made there way back to James and Sarah’s house where they were greeted by a back garden marquee, a bar and a barbecue. Soon to be followed by some lovely speeches and dancing in the garden. Whats not like about that about that? Well nothing if you must know! I think and hope by looking these image that you get a sense of just what this couple are all about, I can’t look at these photos without smiling and this is one day that will live long in my memory for sure
