Festival Wedding
Trace and Paul contacted me last March just before Covid hit and chose 31st July for their wedding, talk about meant to be or you could say the sun shines on the righteous, they missed all the restrictions for their wedding at Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre !
They are both big music fans and whist their wedding date was the same as their favourite festival Kendal Calling they had a festival wedding of their own.
There were lots of nods toward festivals throughout their day and of course some great live music at the end with their first dance being a Blur tune (Pauls favourite band).
Standedge Tunnel Visitor Centre, my new favourite venue!
They couldn’t have picked a better venue either for the day that they had planned, its not far away from me at all and I’ve been hoping to shoot a wedding here for a long time, its just my kind of venue and you really couldn’t hope for a better reception from the staff there, a proper Yorkshire welcome. Even to myself and Paul and Trace who are from the wrong side of the Pennines!
It was all smiles, all day
Apart from the inevitable pre ceremony nerves all day everyone was smiling, its such a joy to be around this kind of atmosphere and I think that shows in the photos. From the bridal preparations in the morning through the ceremony, the drinks reception, the photos, my photo booth and the dancing everyone was just having a great time. The location and relaxed atmosphere of this Marsden wedding venue really helps that but mainly it was down to Trace and Paul who had planned such a great day for their guests. Well done you two, you nailed it.
