The Upwaltham Barns Wedding of Siobhan and Matt

The Lovely Upwaltham Barns

It’s been too long since we shot a wedding at Upwaltham Barns, it’s a fab place which perfectly complimented this great couple Siobhan and Matt. I can’t tell you how much fun theses people are to be around and what a lovely relaxed wedding this was. Shooting  at Upwaltham Barns is always different, every time you go the well kept gardens look amazing, for me it always produces fun quirky wedding photography.

Autumn Wedding Colours

On this visit it was definitely full on Autumn colours for Shiv and Matt, however you could be fooled into thinking it was a summers day too, it was warm and there were even bees and butterfly’s flying around to add to the summer vibe.

Proseco O’clock

Matt and Shiv were getting ready away from Upwaltham with Shiv and her bridesmaids enjoying the Proseco and scenery at  The Welldiggers , while Matt and his groomsmen were at The Fox Goes Free.

At 12 o’clock it was time to converge at Upwaltham Barns with Siobhan adding the final touches, some lovely present swapping and opening plus the  getting into “The Dress’ in the beautiful Jasmine Cottage. Siobhan looked utterly stunning and when her Dad first saw her there were more than a few people with tears in their eyes, the photographers being two of the,, this is always a lovely emotion filled moment.

The Ceremony

The ceremony barn at Upwaltham is always lovely and bright and really does lend its self to great photos, Matt was stood at the front with his best man looking pretty calm but it was hard for everyone to feel the emotion when Siobhan walked down the isle proceeded by her bridesmaids, it really was a special moment.

The Golden Hour

After the ceremony we left the guests to enjoy the Autumn sunshine whilst we made the most of the grounds at Upwaltham barns, this time of year gives us a lovely warm low sun, something photographers call the ‘golden hour’. In summer this is often missed as the wedding breakfast tends to happen at this time but at this part of the year we hit it just right and produced some lovely images together.

After the cake cutting the fab Motown/Soul covers band began the dancing off in fine style and 2 happy photographers left having enjoyed a pretty special wedding.

Shiv and Matt you really were a joy to be with and it’s pretty obvious your friends think so too. Our very best wishes go out to you for the future.x
