Tim Simpson Photography bio picture
  • Welcome to Tim and Amanda Simpson's new blog site for this year.

This site is about weddings. I hope the love of what we do comes over in the photographs, it's such an honour to be involved in a wedding.

I qualified as a photographer in the 'film years', for a long time that's all I used. Now though I love digital, it offers so much more freedom, there I said it (that may explain the 2000+ images from every wedding).

Having said that I can still be seen wandering round with a Hassleblad or a Lomo still shooting film."No place is boring, if you've had a good night sleep and have a pocket full of unexposed film"

Some of you may know that we have bought a weavers cottage in Uppermill to potentially convert into a gallery and a studio. Its got great history and a great feel and we cant wait to start inviting people there.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have, we love to talk photography.

Sarian and Jon’s Wedding at Carlton Towers In North Yorkshire

July

Hi Folks

We are having a great July so far including a couple of portraits, an engagement shoot in Sussex and we have done plenty of light painting (we are also illustrating a book using this technique) so we can use this great and unique effect at weddings.

For the rest of the month we have the wedding of Sarian and Jon at the fantastic Carlton Towers in North Humberside. Followed by Emma and Paul at the Great John Street Hotel in Manchester, this is another fantastic venue and great couple. This wedding is followed by Tracy and Richard’s wedding in East Sussex with the reception at a country farm. What a great job we have.
