Our Photographic Style and Philosophy

Welcome to our site! We are Tim and Amanda Simpson, wedding and portrait photographers based in Uppermill, Manchester. We are award winning photographers, having recently been awarded top 10 image of 2011 by an internationally renowned wedding photography association.

Our studio is based in in a listed weavers cottage building in the picturesque village of Uppermill, in the Saddleworth hills. We also have a base in East Sussex, this allows us to cover the whole of the UK.

We specialise in creative images that are a little bit different and love the vintage look. This is created by techniques such as back lighting and painstaking editing. We provide colour and black and white photographs, according to your preference. We understand that having your photo taken can make you a bit nervous, we understand this and are really keen to put you at ease. We are warm and friendly meaning that you relax which allows your personalities to shine through on your photographs.

We combine a natural reportage style with more creatively posed shots and there will be a large number of images for you to choose from.  We aim to make it hard for you to pick!

Our cameras also capture HD video which looks really cinematic and some clips of your key moments is also captured to add to your memories.
