The Upwaltham Barns Wedding of Louise and Ben
Louise and Ben got married at the beautiful Upwaltham Barns in West Sussex. They are a creative couple and Upwaltham Barns suited them perfectly, it was a great choice for their big day.
Ben and Louise chose us as photographers quite a while ago now and much has changed in their lives since then, never a dull moment aye you two! Since we met them we have perticulary enjoyed Louise’s blog “Hundreds of Sparrows“, it has some great film recommendations and we know Louise has been busy liking and sharing our Instagram and Facebook posts
Louise and her bridesmaids got ready at a friend’s house in Fontwell near Chichester. The house is a beautiful house in the Arts and Crafts style, a particular favourite of ours. One of the topics on everyones mind was the heavy rain we were getting in the morning of the wedding, we didn’t have to worry though as soon the rain wore off to reveal a sunny afternoon, hooray! After lunch we all moved up to the pretty Jasmine Cottage at Upwaltham, where final preparations were excitedly made. There was various, nervous, peeking behind curtains, to glimpse guests sunning themselves in the flower bedecked courtyard. Louise looked stunning in her gown as she walked towards Ben, they were both beaming, it was lovely to see.
After the ceremony we walked around the barns and up through fields to get images of them together. This is where Tim got the daisies ‘double expose’ with the silhouette image of the couple. He already had this shot in mind and it came off really well. Here also there there was a change of shoes – oh the shoes! Extremely pretty ribbon laced flower bedecked shoes to die for.
After a brilliant meal of Sausages and Mash there were some really heartfelt speeches, Ben is quite clearly comfortable on the mike, being a radio presenter. Brother and best man Nick did great job too especially using some suitably embarrassing old photos of Ben (come on we all have them!)
Louise and Ben have recently been through a lot of changes, having moved back to London where Ben has a new job and now they are Mr and Mrs, Louise and Ben are such a lovely couple, we wish them all the best for their future together.
