A truly Original and Entertaining Arts Day in our Uppermill Gallery, Sunday 17th Feb.

Days out in saddleworth

We have recently been beavering away forming a new new arts group, ‘Analog Emulsion’ based in Saddleworth, but not exclusive to Saddleworth Artist, all are welcome.

We are having our first quarterly Pop Up show on sunday 17th Feb at our lovely new Studio
and Gallery in New St Uppermill.
The event will feature hand picked artists and crafts people who are inspired by
great design, Vintage and the Quirky.

We were looking for something quite  different and community and arts inspired to do with our studio space and
gallery and enlisted the ear of Ian from the Hub Leatherworks. He suggested the
Pop Up “Show and Tell format which is currently popular in America and offers a
different and more interactive way of engaging with art and artists/crafts people.

Visitors on the day will be able to view artisans and creatives at work, encouraged to ask
questions and purchase work.
We will be showing and demonstrating
photography, Lomography and Light painting and will be creating a Cinemagraph.
Intake Leatherworks demonstrating hand crafted leather goods including wallets
and belts.

Also there will be Electric Slim Jims Vintage clothing.

During the day there will be lots refreshments including the chance to purchase
from In Truffles We Trust, and Love Cake artisan bakers.

Vintage Folk, who source and sell a handpicked selection of everyday products for
the home. Their ethos is based around three words Authentic.Crafted.Beautiful.

Incline Press, Hand-made books for the collector who reads and the reader who
collects.

Crass Stitch Crafts from Manchester, cross stitch with a cheeky twist.(ok it swears)

These are to name but only few of the (well over a dozen) artists and artisans on show.

The event starts at 12 o’clock

The evening will highlight work by indie film makers, popular local band ‘Something
for the Weekend’ and Manchester’s brilliant and entertaining banjo playing comedy
folk artist “Black Jack Barnet’.

This is an event that you can keep revisiting throughout the day and evening and
find something different, entertaining and unique on every visit.

So why not spend the day and night in Uppermill sampling all the shops, gallery’s
and cafes and visit the Tim Simpson Gallery on New St for something truly original.

There will also be cask beer and Gin! Whats not to like.
