Recently I had the utter pleasure of photographing Lizzie and Son’s Hazel Gap Barn wedding in The Peak District. Hazel Gap Barn is a new one to me but what a fantastic venue it is. I was only there for 3 hours for this mid week wedding, but it’s surprising what you can photograph in such a relatively short space of time with a bit of planning.

Before a wedding I like to have as much contact as possible and swap ideas, so I pretty much knew Lizzie and Som were my kind of people, I like a slightly alternative view on life and weddings. Hazel Gap Barn has a lovely courtyard where guests can congregate and catch up with family and friends so after the ceremony myself, Lizzie and Som sneaked off into the nearby woods for some couples portraits, it was a fun half hour. I wished I could have spent more time with the fun infectious couple but I hope these images give you a flavour of just what a great day this was and what a fab couple Lizzie and Som make, Im guessing the dancing went on into the early hours 🙂
