A Welcome return to The Inn at Whitewell
It’s been over a year since I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Inn at Whitewell, which is far far too long. The Inn is such a charming place and is set in an idyllic secluded spot, nestled beside the River Holder in the Forest of Bowland. Its a friendly relaxed place, devoid of snobbery but always produces such a memorable wedding for bride and groom and guests alike. It’s for all these reasons that Sarah and Danny fell for this charming place and as usual it didn’t fail to produce an amazing memorable day.
My day started at the hairdressers!
My day started (after I’d set the Photo Booth up at the Inn) with a trip to the hairdressers to meet Sarah, her Mum and the bridal party all enjoying a spot of pampering at Joseph James .
It was then off to Sarah’s parents lovely house for a spot of food and the final bits of preparation, here the beautiful classic Rolls Royce and Bentley met us to take the party to The Inn at Whitewell in style. We stopped on the way to the Inn for a quick Father and Daughter shot and made or way down the beautifully scenic road dropping down into the valley
The Ceremony
Whilst I had been with the girls (and Dad) my fab assistant Imran had been capturing events nicely at The Inn and before you knew it it was ceremony time and I was stood at the front of the room photographing the happy newlyweds. I’ve invested in a new type of camera this year and it has a completely silent shutter and in intimate moments like this it really pays dividends. You could really tell during the ceremony the genuine affection that Danny and Sarah have for each other especially during their self penned vows.
From the top down
Every wedding has a different feel to it and this is mostly generated through the bride and groom, so how did this one feel. Well pretty special really, it was a privilege to be amongst such lovely people. I’d met Sarah and Danny and Sarah’s Mum and Dad a few times and it was so heartwarming to be amongst such a loving family on this very special day. I’m not sure there are many other jobs where you get to share such emotion. So how did this wedding feel, just look at the photos I guess, everyone is smiling (and sometimes crying!), the whole day was so lovely. The speeches are so heart felt and funny too, Danny’s comedy timing was impecable.
Photo Booth and Dancing
After the speeches myself and Imran shot the Photo Booth in the Library and the guests really did get stuck into the props and had some fun with them. We print out the photos and the guests put them in a guest book and leave a message, its such a lovely and immediate thing for the bride and groom to have after their wedding.
After the booth it was cake cutting, dancing to the live band and some fab sparkler shots.
Its clear to see that Sarah and Danny are just made for each other and amongst such a loving family they are going to have an amazing future together, this is one day I will always look back upon with great fondness.
Also worth a mention are the lovely flowers provided by The Flower Shop by Morgan.

Just been looking back Tim, you were fantastic. We love the photos still and we’re so glad you were there.
Thank you Pauline.
I’ve just looked back myself and relived the day, it was really lovely.
I remember the lovely warm welcome when I arrived, it was such a fun day.
