Everything clicked into place on Rumi and Sam’s wedding at Upwaltham Barns. A stunning bride in a gorgeous gown, a very handsome groom, amazing venue, great guests and lots of bright sun, whats not to like. Add to that 2 very talented and modest photographers and you have the makings of one of the weddings of the year.
Upwaltham Barns at this time of year truly are a thing of beauty, flowers in bloom are everywhere you look. How summery is the shot above, we managed to sneak into the cornfield and aren’t the results just amazing.
Its not often we would do a part day coverage these days but for Rumi and Sam we just had to make the exception and we are so glad we did, what a fun couple they are, genuinely warm friendly folk and it was a real honour to be part of their day.
The day started with the preparations in Jasmine Cottage, there was lots of activity, mainly due to having a few younger bridesmaids who were all very excited. There were lots of people coming and going and lots to photograph.
From the window in the cottage you can see the guests being greeted by Sam and congregating in the courtyard prior to the ceremony. This is another time of the day with lots of photo opportunities as friends and family catch up with each other.
After the lovely ceremony it was confetti and photo time. Although this was only a part day shoot for us Sam and Rumi put aside a nice amount of time for the couples photos. In their first contact with us Rumi and Sam had made it clear just how the photography was important to them and how they loved our style and they dived into this part of the day with relish. I have to admit when your bride and groom are as good looking as Rumi and Sam then you are half way there to stunning images already! Often when you have clicked the shutter you just know that you have just taken one hell of an image, for us its a bit like scoring a goal, we get that sort of thrill from photography. Well we have to say this game was more like a cricket score as far as great shots go. Everything really did click into place.
Rumi and Sam you are lovely lovely people and we wish you all the future happiness in the world.x
I thought your photographs would be amazing. They are! Thank you for the tips on the day. I will continue to keep my elbows in.
HI Catherine, really glad you like them, don’t forget to breathe out too! 🙂
