Amy & Andrew certainly picked a fitting venue for their chic and summer-style wedding when they opted to get hitched at the York Pavillion. They were a pleasure to photograph and it was evident that there was a close family bond between all the guests at the wedding. There were lots of little tots enjoying the day and looking super-cute and there was a very friendly vibe that we received right through the whole day. The couple were up for a laugh and Amy even suggested at one point doing a ‘press your face against the glass’ shot which was fantastic fun and turned out fab. Not something a lot of brides would be up for doing on their wedding day!
The decor was very rustic and charming with an underlying Sheffield Wednesday theme! There was an owl statue in one of the trees at the venue that had been adorned with a Sheffield Wednesday scarf and there were two little blue owls on the cake which we thought looked very sweet. Andy is a big man with a warm heart and even managed to forgive Amanda for being a Sheffield united fan. They had some huge balloons outside (each represented a family member or friend that they had lost over the years- a beautiful sentiment) and these proved to be bunches of fun and acted as amazing props for photos.
The guests embraced the photo booth and got stuck right in. The kids also loved it and we got some great shots of them dressed up in our funny props and clobber. Over-all it was a really lovely day and we had a blast with Amy & Andy and their lovely family and friends. We wish them both the very best for the future!
