Dayna & Matthew’s Wedding at Eaves Hall, Clitheroe.
Dayna & Matthew’s wedding at the grand Eaves Hall certainly had a 1920s vintage glamour feel about it. We photographed their day recently and everywhere we went we were surrounded by such beautiful settings. We began at Dayna’s Mum’s house where the bridal preparations were well underway when we arrived. The house was super homely and there was a very warm atmosphere. Dayna’s hair was in a very intricate up-do style, a really unusual and beautiful design done by Bethany Jane Davies, who also did her amazing signature vintage make-up for Dayna. We have worked with Bethany before and she’s absolutely fab. Check out her website here (it’s awesome!). The bridesmaids were prepping and priming themselves in the cosy living room, champagne corks were popped and there was a special appearance from Dayna’s cat who looked extra cute in a gorgeous silky bow! We couldn’t help doing a mini pet photo-shoot (being animal lovers ourselves).
That morning, we were able to capture a really unique and cool shot of the bridesmaid dresses with the bridal gown in living room, using the super high ceiling to achieve a different look. Dayna’s dress was just stunning. A really glamorous silky number by
Maggie Sottero with Swarovski crystal adorned sleeves and embellishments, very 1920s glamour indeed! Hair and make-up done, it was then time to get into this gorgeous dress. And wow! Dayna looked amazing! As did the bridesmaids and Dayna’s mum, a very stylish bunch indeed. The flowers arrived and were a dusky pink and white rose mixture with green foliage to match the colour scheme, by
Marshall’s florists. They were the perfect completion to Dayna’s wedding attire.
We then scooted off ahead to get some shots of Matthew waiting for his bride-to-be at St Michael’s church, Croston. We love this Church and we photographed
Leanne & Nik’s wedding here last year, so we were familiar with the high beams, the super cute cobbled street leading to the church and Reverend David, who is one of our favourite Reverends- we probably shouldn’t say that should we?! But he is! We are really pleased with the shots of the ceremony as we feel they reflect the family bond and relationship between Dayna & Matthew. There was lots of clapping and laughter, as well as beautiful meaningful vows. The ceremony was lovely and brought a tear to even our eyes (big softies aren’t we). On the picturesque cobbled street leading to St Michael’s, we replicated a shot that we had see at the house that morning of Dayna’s parents getting married at the same church. It’s a slightly more modern version (or at least it was before some extreme photoshop removal of traces of modern day life!) and we think that the sentiment is lovely- the two photographs look gorgeous together!
We then moved on to Eaves Hall where we took a romantic and cute kissing shot shot of Dayna & Matthew with Dayna’s parents copying the same pose on a balcony in the background! Family is obviously very important to this lovely bunch. We got stuck in to taking more of our signature styled couples portraits of Dayna & Matthew, and even a spot of rain couldn’t get in the way of them getting stuck right in. After the meets and greets and a few drinks, it was time for the Afternoon tea and speeches! The food was lovely and very picnic-esque.
PhotoBooth time next! The guests got so into the Photo Booth, and we printed off little passport style photos for them all to put into an empty keyring they had been provided with by Dayna & Matthew as a favour (great idea we thought!).
We hope you enjoy the images as much as we enjoyed this beautiful day.
We send our well wishes and congratulations to Matthew & Dayna & hope that they have a perfect future together as husband & Wife!
