Last year I met Lesley and Gary to chat about their wedding over a few beers in Sheffield, we got on great and had a lot in common, chiefly classic motorcycles, motorcycle racing and a love for things vintage (check out Lesleys amazing dress). They also wanted creative artistic vintage style wedding photography, which is what I do best I like to think. Fast forward a good few months to a sunny day and I’m all set for some creative  East Lodge in Rowsley, Matlock wedding photography and the perfect scene was set for a lovely relaxed wedding. I’d never been to a wedding at East Lodge before, I’d passed it many times and admired the great looking hotel in such lovely surroundings.

Not Your Traditional Wedding

Lesley and Gary didn’t really want to be dictated by tradition and just wanted their day to be relaxed, no stress and to be enjoyed by close family and friends. Personally I really do enjoy shooting days like these, I absolutely love wandering around with camera putting my artistic slant on things, no pressure at all, things just seem to flow.

The wrath and friendliness of Gary and Lesley just permeated through the day and it’s plain to see they are perfect for each other. I was only with them for 2 hours but looking at these images you’d have thought I was there all day, I certainly had a grin on my face as I traveled home that afternoon.
