I’m a bit biased I must admit but Manchester is one of the best City’s in the Uk, I’ve been to and photographed weddings in most City’s but on the right (sunny!) day, an Artistic , Creative Manchester Wedding is hard to beat.

Midland Hotel Manchester Wedding

A wedding at The Midland Hotel ups the style factor just that little bit too. I last visited The Midland when photographing  Emily and Josh’s day there. Emily’s day was a grand affair with lots of happy guests, Penny and Andy’s day was much more informal but nonetheless meaning just the same to each couple, a day of warmth, friendliness, family and of course the reason everyone is there to see a couple very much in love joined together.

A Different Kind of Wedding

I have got to know Penny and Andy over the time since they booked me to photograph their day, Penny has been to me for photography tuition and of course we discussed the day during this time together. It was an intimate gathering and a day about family and friends and not tradition. I was not with them for the whole day but it’s certainly a day I won’t forget, I think if you look through my blog you will see that that the couples who come to me to photograph their day seem to have a non mainstream attitude towards things and long may this continue. One of the comments I get most is that that my weddings all look different. Well I suppose thats because they all are different and hopefully the bride and grooms personality shine through my images, that at least is what I aim to do. As the saying goes “This is Manchester, we do things differently here”.
