Emily and Daniel had chosen us to photograph her vintage inspired wedding at Meols Hall, Southport for our relaxed and creative style and because we love vintage too.
When we arrived at Emily’s house, Emily was having her vintage style make-up from the amazingly talented Bethany who also did her hair, we have worked with Bethany many a time and she really does know do the perfect vintage look. We took lots of photos at Emily’s house, there was so much going on. Its really nice to be part of the preparations especially when Emily’s friends the bridesmaids and her Mum were such fun and so welcoming. Meols Hall is a beautiful venue set in parklands near Southport. We arrived early to capture the guests and and some of the amazing details that Emily had put into the wedding. She is an interior designer and ever since Daniel proposed to her, she has been buying Vintage furniture and props to decorate her wedding and add to the style. She even had a basket full of polka dot tissues for the guests to help themselves to at the entrance for when things got a bit teary! Everywhere you looked there was something great and vintage that Emily had styled, a photographers playground. It looked like a film set it had been done so well.
Emily had 2 wedding dresses for her day – her Mum especially had been keen for her to have a traditional style dress- an uber glam Disney princess-esque number, and is the one that she wore for the ceremony and then she changed into a gorgeous 50’s style vintage inspired dress with beautiful lace detailing which she looked amazing in also! She was really complimented by the bridesmaids in their vey stylish and colourful pastel vintage dresses, we had great fun with them all during the styled photo shoot.
After the ceremony, there was afternoon tea in the courtyard with pink lemonade, Pimms and tons of home-made cakes. Her new father in law had also kindly made a popcorn cart, a sweet troller and a photo booth backdrop and is obviously very talented too.
She had also made some letters of her surname which she had covered in fabric and which we captured in a few photographs on the Lawns in front of the Hall.
Their wedding was brilliant, full of creativity, generosity and fun and we wish them both a very happy life together!
Absolutely stunning pictures from what was a perfect day!
