We shot Gen & John’s 1920s inspired wedding at Didsbury House Hotel a couple of weeks ago, and what a day! One of the best words to describe the day would probably be Intimate. The closeness between Gen & John and their closeness to their families was so noticeable and lovely to see.
Tim stayed with Gen and the girls whilst they were getting ready whilst I photographed John the lads at the hotel, they was certainly buzz of excitement about that morning, and what a rowdy bunch they were 😉 I had loads of fun with them that morning and felt like a guest myself! A lot of people feel out of their depth having their photo taken- not this lot! I’m not going to lie, it was me that probably felt more out of my depth at first as I’m used to photographing the girls getting ready so it was a totally different experience- an enjoyable one though non the less!
We arrived at the church which was a beautiful, modern church. Gen’s father conducted part of the ceremony which we thought was a really lovely touch. After the ceremony we headed to Didsbury house for the ‘after party’. We had such a blast in this gorgeous, very Art Deco style building. There was amazing food there and loads of laughs being had by everyone, including us! Gen & John also requested that we run a couple of rolls of film for them at their wedding (which we love to do!) so on this blog post there is a mix between digital and film images showing our top picks of highlights of the day from our side of things.
We hope you enjoy looking back and reflecting on your gorgeous day John & Gen, can’t wait to show you the rest of the photos 🙂
Much love & all the best for the future!
