Sally and Graham’s wedding at Manchester Town Hall and Great John Street Hotel

We were really excited to photograph the wedding of Sally and Graham as it was to be our first wedding in two weeks at Manchester Town Hall, and we also loved them both. They were both keen to have something a little different too.

Amanda stayed with Sally for the getting ready shots at the boutique Great John St Hotel next to the old Granada studios. You can see the Coronation St. set from the roof top!  Tim went to The Slug and Lettuce to photograph Graham and head over to the Town Hall.

Sally had decided to walk over to the Town Hall, so Amanda took some shots on the way – this is great for a photographer, as its lovely to have Manchester’s fine architecture as a back drop. Plus, everyone loves to see a bride, so you get a lot of well wishers on the way. Its a lovely way to increase the happy feelings on the day.

The ceremony was lovely and a little different for us as there was also a signer present communicating throughout the ceremony who was a friend of the family. If you look at the kiss image,  you can see friends and relatives waving which communicates clapping – this seems really exciting and communicative compared to the way hearing people clap! It was really heart warming. It may sound soppy, but we really do get moved and at times close to tears of joy in a lot of ceremonies.

After the ceremony there were quirky photos using The Opera House, metal grille doors, and other visually attractive locations. This was a fun time and we even spotted a gold post box on the way.

In the evening we provided a photo booth at St John’s Hotel and the guests danced to the music. It was a very chilled and very lovely wedding for our London couple and there were lots of hugs as we left. Many congratulations to Sally and Graham, with all our love from Amanda and Tim
