Kat and Paul’s Wedding at Manchester Town Hall and Islington Mill, Manchester

Whilst on twitter, I noticed a recommendation for us from Jessica (a former bride with massive style) for our relaxed and creative wedding photography. Thanks Jessica!  We were intrigued because we soon found out that Kat is the creative talent behind Crass Stitch, a sweary  unique take on cross stitch. We loved her work and immediately booked her for one of our gallery shows. (Her cards are available at our gallery) So THIS POST MAY CONTAIN SOME SWEARING. Kat booked us to take care of her wedding photographs, job done.

Their ceremony was at the beautiful Manchester Town Hall, which is a photographer dream. They had a brilliant relaxed ceremony. They brought out some song cue cards a la Bob Dylan which everyone sang along to, it was ace!

Their celebration continued over at Islington Mill, which is an artists’ studio and also doubles up as a music venue. They and their friends had converted it into an oasis of charm and beauty with quirky touches. There was a sketch o magic booth which they had loaned from the Cornerhouse, Manchester. Guests did the usual photo booth pose, and out came their very own unique sketch, Sadly we didn’t have time to have a go ourselves!

They had asked people to bring in their own cakes and varieties included boozy bacon cupcakes. Oh wow, these are really tasty! Their was also a rare breed pig who kindly provided us with scrumptious pork. We could see her photo, The chef even had the pig tattooed on his leg, now thats dedication.

The beautiful afternoon was spent in the courtyard garden. The evening started off with come classic dance music and glow sticks. Tim took the trippy dancing shot using light painting photography techniques (more light painting images and workshops info soon).

Many congratulations to Kat and Paul and thanks for asking us to capture  your wonderfully creative wedding.
