We had a sneaky suspicion that Hannah and David’s wedding at Christ Church, Spitalfields was going to be a very trendy do- and we were so right. With Hannah being an architect, and very obviously having a a creative eye for detail, and David a consultant and ex Captain of The Nigerian Rugby Team and Northampton Pro knew we were in for a treat.
Christ Church is a really special building, designed by Nicholas Hawksmoor , the vicar was really great and pretty trendy too, very Shoreditch (or Northern Quarter if you are from Manchester!). The meal and night time do was in the church too which created a brilliant atmosphere.
The day began with the TSP team separating to capture both the bridal and groomsmen preparations. Hannah got ready at her auntie’s beautiful home a stones throw away from central London and David was getting himself spruced up with the boys in South Place Hotel where the after party was to take place.
Hannah and the bridesmaids were very calm and collected and the preparations were well underway when we arrived. We were snapping and filming away (video ready soon, keep your eyes peeled) as the girls chatted about the celebrations ahead whilst undergoing a little pampering. A few glasses of champers were shared and then it was time for Hannah to get into her wedding dress. It was then that we discovered that she actually designed her dress herself, alongside her Veil and Floral crystal Hairpiece, too! We were super impressed. She will be selling these accessories soon so keep your eyes peeled, they are truly stunning! Her dress was also really well designed. From the modern lines and the mesh detailing right down to the pockets in the skirt (very practical and handy). It was an understated and very elegant gown and Hannah looked just amazing in it. We feel also worth a mention was the bouquet and flowers for the day supplied by The London Flower House, they really were perfect and the icing on the (wedding) cake.
After the big reveal, we all hopped into the bus on our way to the ceremony which took place in the amazingly stunning Christ Church in Shoreditch. We can’t really think of a cooler place in the UK to get hitched to be honest! It’s such an impressive building. The ceremony was heartfelt and full of lovely words and sentiments, live music and laughter. After the I Do’s it was time for confetti and canapés outside in the sunshine whilst the church was turned around swiftly for the reception. Banquet tables, the lovely cake by Sugared Safron and the décor in place and it was time for some grub and speeches. It was clear to see that there was a lot of love in the room, not just between David and Hannah but between both families, too.
After dessert came some dancing as the reception began. This was just a taster of the night ahead, however, as there was an awesome after party to be had at South Place hotel. We headed there at approx. 9.30pm and captured the rest of the partying until 1am! What a party. Those guests certainly knew how to boogie on down. There were several rooms in the after party venue including a DJ room where the party-harders could be found, a snooker room for some late night chats and a few games and a chill out bar area.
We had a wonderful time sharing your day David and Hannah. We Thank You for having us along and hope you have the time of your lives together! Congratulations x
