We love Crow Hill as a wedding venue and fortunately Kate and Alex chose us to photograph their wedding there. Crow Hill is in Marsden, W Yorks and our photography studio is just the other side of the hill in Lancashire but I think we have all forgotten about the unfortunate war some time ago!
When we arrived to capture images of the Kate and bridesmaids getting ready, there was a relaxed air with some vintage dance tunes (we’re talking 80’s and 90’s) to be honest it was difficult not to start moving! Kate’s hair and makeup were done beautifully and her dress was amazing. The ceremony was beautiful and always feels special and intimate in the light-filled room complete wth its show-stopping chandelier,
After summer styled drinks and canapes, we grabbed the happy couple for a series of photos in the gardens and chose the wilder part for a more relaxed look (there is so much to choose from at Crow Hill) and then up to the pretty gardens at the back of the house which Kate and Alex acknowledged they didn’t really remember from the booking and was an additional bonus to their day. The moss on the back garden wall is such a unique and lovely colour.
We loved Kate’s shades – so cool and the detail on the bottom of her shoes. See if you can see them in the photos! Also check out the dreamy first image in the post, it’s a double exposure of the lovely Kate and a beautiful hydrangea heart on a door. These shots can be hit and miss as you never know what you are going to get, we love this one.
We loved photographing Alex and Kate’s wedding, they are an amazing couple and we here at Tim Simpson Photography wish them a very happy life together
