award winning wedding photography
Sometimes I feel it’s wrong that I enjoy wedding photography so much but when the results are like this Crow Hill Marsden Wedding Photography of Amy and Tom I guess we must be doing something right. This week we were awarded Uk Top 10 Photographers from Your Perfect Wedding Photographers too, big thanks to them. I’m not sure how they know with 2017 only being half over but I’m not going to argue!
A Fab Crow Hill Wedding
Anyway back to Crow Hill with Amy and Tom, the fact that theses are a set of images we are very proud of is in no small part down to Tom and Amy and their vision. I’ve had a few meetings with this lovely couple to discuss how the images may look and were and when on the day they will be taken. Its alright having the ideas but putting them into practice is sometimes not as easy but I’m very happy to say together we pretty much nailed it.
A Musical Wedding
Crow Hill is a venue we are very happy and comfortable at, it’s on the right side of quirky, relaxed and is different on every visit, many of the reasons why Amy and Tom chose this fab place, the guests enjoyed this brilliant musical wedding to. I say musical because all through the day music was evident, the brass band at the church, the great choir in the church and the guitarist entertaining gusts in the afternoon and evening, the whole wedding was to a backdrop of music, as big music lovers ourselves we really enjoyed this touch.
The Preparations
Amy and her Bridesmaids were lovely and welcoming in the morning and that’s a theme that ran through the whole wedding, this was one warm friendly bunch of folk. Amy was it seemed totally untroubled by wedding nerves in the morning when we were shooting the preparation shots, it was a great atmosphere to be in as the guests assembled at Crow Hill to get the vintage bus to the Church. Amanda got on the bus with the guests to photograph them while I stayed with Amy and captured some images of the cool VW camper van from The Volkswagen Wedding Co , a vehicle that would feature in some shots later in the day.
The Dress
It was soon then time to get into “the dress”, collect the stylish bouquets (from Lily Blossom in Marsden) and off to the church. Amy certainly rocked the lovely dress (from Bridal Apparel, Leeds) and we got some great veil shots later in the day too.
I met Amanda and Tom back at the church and it was ceremony time. The handsome Tom looked very dapper in his suit as he waited for Amy and her Dad to appear. It was a lovely ceremony at the Holy Trinity Church Hepworth although slightly marred for us as the Vicar would not allow us to move from the mat at the back of the church therefore missing out on some ceremony shots for Tom and Amy. This is the first time in literally hundreds of weddings that I have not been allowed unto the front and its a real shame. We did though sneak up to the front and photograph the choir during the service, they were ace.
Creative Couples Portraits
After the ceremony we stopped in a few pre planned places on the way back to Crow Hill and got some great couples portraits of Amy and Tom, they really did nail it and it was great to have a little extra time to do these images. Photography was a very important part of the day for Amy so she allocated a little extra time and we are super pleased that the photos came out like they did.
That Sunset Shot
Back at Crow Hill it was time for food and dancing but before we left we managed an extra few minutes for a sunset photo, I’m glad we did.
