It was an absolute joy to be part of Pete and Emma’s Olive Branch, Marsden wedding. I haven’t shot a wedding at the Olive Branch before, I’ve been past it many times and thought it looked nice, I do hope to return soon if this wedding is anything to go off. It’s just over the hill for me a mere 10 minutes away, for Pete and Emma though its considerably less local, they came from Australia for this knees up, I reckon it was well worth it too. A venue has to be pretty special don’t you think to fly from the other side of the world!

Of course it’s not just the venue that makes a wedding, its the people. The people made this a bloody brilliant day, unforgettable to say the least. I’ve said it before on here, the feel of a wedding comes from the top down, which is why this was one friendly, stylish relaxed affair.
The Same Hymn Sheet!
Often a couples first contact with me is via an email, either I have been recommended or an internet search has pointed someone to my work. Even from the first email I knew that this would be one to remember, I must admit it really does help when a couple totally get what I do and to be honest leave me to do it! It takes a bit of trust and vision on their behalf to say ‘you just come along and do what you do’. As a result of that trust though you can get images like this, I’m super pleased with them. Like I say that first contact with Emma and Pete warmed my heart as did the subsequent Skype chats. We finally met a few days before the wedding and we were defiantly singing from the same hymn sheet. I’d say it’s pretty impossible not to like this family!
I will waffle on no more and let the pictures do the talking (they are way more eloquent than me anyway!).
