It’s always great to shoot a wedding at Crow Hill our favourite local venue there is nothing not to like about the place, we just love it’s quirky charm. That’s just why Laura and Rob had fallen for it too and why they and many of the guests had made the journey from London.
After an early morning walk round the grounds we met Laura and her bridesmaids getting ready in the large upstairs room, well we say getting ready, they were busy chatting and eating bacon butties (the lovely home made usage rolls came later, thanks!). We had already met Laura prior to the wedding but I don’t think we picked up on what a brilliant sense of humour she has, she really did have us all in stitches. This was pretty much the theme of the rest of the morning until it was time to make the short journey back over the hill to St Thomas’s Church in Delph.
We set off close to Rob but as he had hired an awesome BMW M5 as the wedding car he made it there before us! (great choice Rob)
After photographing the guests arriving I made my way to the front of the church to photograph the eagerly waiting Rob. Laura came down the isle first and looked really radiant in that gorgeous dress that everyone had been admiring hung up at CrowHill. Laura smile really is infectious, the whole church was beaming. The music for the ceremony was was provided by Delph Brass Band who Laura used to be a member of. The band sounded excellent in the Church. It also worth mentioning that the vicar was such a tip chap, the ceremony had some real heartfelt sentiment but it was also entertaining too, coupled with this his relaxed attitude to photography makes for some ceremony images to remember.
Laura and Rob left the ceremony to the Rocky tune blasting out from the band, another nice touch.
Whilst we walked the grounds with Rob and Laura to take the coupes portraits, which they got stuck into with relish, the guests were mingling outside drinking Mojitos and listening to a steel band.
The food at Crow Hill is always a winner too, its one of the perks of our job that we get to eat lots of lovely food and we always get well fed here. After the speeches it was Photo Booth time which the guests got stuck into without any persuasion.
We know Laura and Rob got exactly the relaxed fun day that they planned for and it was enjoyed by everyone. Thanks guys for asking us to be part of your day and we wish you much future happiness, you both deserve it
