The Manchester, On The 7th Wedding of Lauren and Neil

As we all know the sun always shines in Manchester and Lauren and Neil’s Wedding at On The 7th at Media City was certainly no exception.

Getting Ready

I met Lauren, her Bridesmaids and Mum at The Town House in central Manchester in the morning.  I wasn’t there for long but I always think it’s worth recording this really nice part of the day, there was a nice atmosphere in the room and it gets the photography off to a nice start with some nice shared moments between them all.

Neil and Lauren had chosen a lovely quirky hotel at Salford Quays in which to get married called “On The 7th“. Its called that, well because its on the 7th Floor. The 4 mile journey didn’t take long and before you knew it Lauren was being escorted up the isle by her proud father Ian. Ian just happens to be a very good friend of mine (we share a love of classic Lambretta scooters!) so for me it made what is always a special moment even more special.

It was clear right from the start that Neil has a very dry sense of humour, he had everyone laughing through the ceremony, this carried on in the speeches too, this is a wedding that needed no extra ‘entertainment’ draughted in, it was right there!

Fun Bride and Groom Shots in Manchester

After the ceremony it was photo time and a wedding in Media City offers lots of photo opportunities. An October wedding too is always good for a lovely golden hour late evening sun photo like we have here as our feature image on the bridge at Salford Quays and doesn’t Lauren look pretty damn good in it, Neil scrubs up pretty well too.

This wedding was always about family, friends and having a good time without pandering too much wedding tradition. As played out when the dancing started, the dance floor filled up pretty quickly and didn’t empty all night with some great tunes being played. I can 100% testify that this was one fab wedding from beginning to end because I was right there through all of it, I still have the hangover to prove it!!

I know for a fact that Neil and Lauren will have a happy fun filled life, it’s obvious for everyone to see.

p.s the lovely flowers were provided by our friends at Eden Floral Styling
