To get us through that ‘beginning-of -the-year blues’ (that’s the technical term ya’ know), we decided to organise a mega exciting Bridal Fashion collaboration with some fantastic fellow creatives in ‘the industry’- included in this super-team were; FROG Floristry from Manchester’s Northern Quarter, fellow Saddleworthians Adele Winstanley-Howarth Bridal, Joanne Tudda MUA, Model Tanya Borowy, Katie & Abby from J’adore Models Manchester & Saskia from A-Models .
We just love the idea of working with such artistic people, and it’s so refreshing to know that there’s plenty of like-minded people out there wanting to get their teeth stuck in to a Bridal Fashion project like this which allows a good scope of creative freedom to each participant. We produced some guidelines for the shoot in order to ensure that everything ran smoothly, but also to allow as much creative freedom to each collaborator as possible whilst all staying on the same page. It’s quite rare nowadays that we have time to do unpaid test shoots (as we’re sure is the same with the others involved in this shoot), so it’s something we’re super excited about sharing! It’s a chance for us all to ‘show off’ and produce images totally within our creative control.
We decided on a general story for the shoot to follow (as previously said) to set rough guidelines to ensure the shoot flowed without any hitches! The theme we decided on was ‘Girl Gang’… (not guns & violence… no no… take that outta’ your head immediately!)… think more of a ‘clique’ or really strong close gang of girls with a friendship that no one could break. The romanticised version of how we imagine the perfect bridal party to be- and then we all gave them a super-fashion makeover.
Whist freedom of expression certainly reigned here for all involved, we ensured that we were all ultimately on the wavelength in terms of styling and what we wanted from the final outcome. Hopefully you’ll agree with us when we say that this collaboration definitely ‘worked’ and that the images speak for themselves… and yes, looking back on the images, we certainly wanna be in their gang!
We are so proud to have been able to work with such a wonderfully imaginative team and to have been able to produce work that is of benefit to all. We hope you enjoy the images as much as we do 🙂
