Well we certainly ended the year in style with Michelle and Jonathan’s fantastic New Years Eve wedding at Eaves Hall in Clitheroe, it’s a part of the world we have become familiar with this year having covered many weddings in the Trough of Bowland and The Lake District and lovely it is too.
It was a beautiful New Years Eve morning when we arrived, you’d be forgiven for thinking it was a late spring morning. I guess global warming has it’s perks! Talking of global warming while we were photographing Michelle and her bridesmaids getting ready in a gorgeous room with a balcony Jonny arrived in Matt the best mans fantastic sounding v12 Mercedes with a huge grin on his face, a grin that to be honest didn’t leave him all day, it was lovely to see. Why wouldn’t he be smiling Michelle looked absolutely stunning in her figure hugging ever so stylish wedding dress, Eaves Hall looked magnificent and was already buzzing with excited guests all catching up with friends and family.
After the lovely ceremony with some really nice readings from friends it was canapés and drinks time for the guests and photo time for Michelle and Jonny. We pride ourselves in getting as many quality images in a short space of time (just so the bride and groom are not away from their guests for too long). This in part is done my having a good look round the venue prior to the shoot and having some shots already in mind. It worked well this time as the weather got a bit wintery (or Lancashire!) just as we started our session so it was time for plan b and use some of the stylish and quirky interior of Eaves Hall. Michelle and Jonny are a great fun couple and this really shows in the images, they really jumped in with both feet.
After the wedding breakfast and the speeches, in which all of Jonny’s groomsmen did a speech which was a nice touch, we shot a very well attended Photo Booth. I have to say I don’t think we have shot a busier booth with the book filling up with Polaroids at a record rate, the New Years Eve spirit was deffinitly in evidence
Michelle and Jonny we hope you have a lovely minimoon and a fab honeymoon later in the year and a brilliant life together, we have a feeling you will if your wedding day is anything to go off.
