A Manchester lockdown wedding to remember
It was lovely to dust the old wedding photography cobwebs off this week and shoot Adrian and Melissa enjoying their Manchester minmony (yes that’s what we are calling small lockdown weddings now)
Whilst there were plenty of people present at the wedding most of them were watching on Zoom. There was even lovely speech after the ceremony by a cyber guest which was definitely a first for me.
The gestapo registrars at Dukinfield Registry Office wouldn’t let me photograph the ceremony, again anther first so I’m afraid I can’t show you many shots from this part of the day.
As with a few of my recent lockdown weddings we were limited to a small post wedding shoot for my part of the day. After chatting to Melissa and Adrian we decided on Castlefield in Manchester. It’s such a great area and I’ve always wanted to do a wedding shoot there but it takes certain kind of bride and groom to see this and with Adrian being a keen photographer he was completely on board .
Socially distanced group shot
Its a testament to the character of Melissa a and Adrian that all the guests travelled from the registry office to castle field just for a few group shots. we are also joined by Adrians brother on Zoom which was fun.
Post wedding shoot
I’d had a scout around the Castlefield area the day before so I knew what I wanted to do, planning is the key to this type of shoot as I only had 30 mins or so. It was such good fun with Adrian and Melissa thought they fully jumped into the session and I’m super pleased with the images, its always a team effort and this pair clearly make a great team.
