The Perfect Mimimony at Broadoaks Country House
Its always a pleasure shooting a wedding in the Lake District, why wouldn’t it be surly its one of the most picturesque places in the world and Broadoaks Country House is absolutely fab!
Naomi and Simon booked me to shoot their wedding day quite a while ago, well before Covid drastically effected the wedding industry. So its been a strange few months of watching and hoping that the day could go ahead. Naomi took the decision to press the button on the day and here are the results. The day happened with all the necessary Covid precautions and I have to say it was a triumph.
A lovely friendly wedding
If I’m honest I really do prefer an intimate wedding without all the unnecessary accoutrements and baubles a wedding can often bring with it. Looking on the positive side if this is how a lockdown wedding has to go then it really isn’t a bad thing is it?
Naomi and Simon’s was a lesson in style and friendliness and just purely the celebration of a marriage with family and friends and that is really how it should be. You don’t need ice sculptures, Rolls Royces and white doves you just need Naomi to plan your wedding for you and you’ve got a brilliant unforgettable day.
Pictures speak a thousand words
Hopefully I’m a better photographer than I am writer so I’ll just let this set of images do the talking. If this day at The Broadoaks Country Hotel ends up being my last wedding of the year then I’ll be very happy to look back on these image over the coming months, I love them and hope you do too, I think they do get across just what a wedding should be like
Simon and Naomi I wish you all the very best for the future, not that you need it you seem to have everything pretty much nailed x.
