Amy and Alec are a really fun couple, and it has to be said a perfect match. We had already met them at Waterton Park Hotel to discuss their wedding photography, so we knew what to expect from this great island venue in Wakefield. They wanted relaxed yet creative photos of their wedding, Amy is very creative herself , she loved our images from previous weddings so we were really looking forward to revisiting this venue.
Amanda photographed the getting ready shots whist I went and tracked down the grooms party .Everyone was, as you would expect very relaxed. Having said that whilst Alec was waiting for his beautiful bride to arrive there was more than the odd nervous moment.
After the ceremony and the confetti throwing (always a great photo opportunity), it was over the bridge to start the party. There was a lovely warm family feel to this wedding. The Scottish contingent were a great bunch of people and certainly got everyone in the party spirit.
The wedding breakfast room looked really great decked out in all the wild flowers and quirky little objects, a testament to Alec’s creativity. As usual our Photo Booth went down a storm with people making full use of the props, they certainly did not need any encouragement from us at this wedding.
After the first dance there was a barbecue and popcorn on the terrace, a great ending to a fabulous wedding.
Many congratulations, Amy and Alec
