Tatton Park certainly is a beautiful place for a wedding, we have shot weddings at Tatton Park before, the ceremony room is so very grand and very formal. If you fast forward yourself 8 hours later to the wonderful fun celebrations at Sprit Restaurant in Warrington you would not believe it to be the same wedding from the formal grand affair of earlier on. There was wonderful food, a casino and much dancing, more on that later.
We met Ceri for the wedding preparations at Mottram Hall in Prestbury in a lovely large room with ‘the dress’ hanging up in the centre off the chandelier. The bridesmaids were all excitedly getting ready and helping Ceri to look absolutely stunning and we are sure you agree she really did, Ank is one lucky man but then he has lots of attributes himself that make them just the perfect couple.
We really love photographing the bridal preparations is such a lovely informal part of the day and suits our reportage style perfectly.
Whilst the preparations were underway the lucky guests were all on a vintage routemaster bus travelling from Warrington to Tatton Park where we are soon to join them. We were there in plenty of time to photograph Ank and the guests waiting in anticipation for the gorgeous bride.
We find it hard to pick our images for our blog posts as there are always just too many to choose from, as there are so many you may sometimes skip through them which is understandable, brilliance becomes the norm if you see what I mean !!! I just wanted to point out the shot that Amanda took at Tatton Park of the pregnant guest and the classical painting of the mother and child behind her, its often the background that makes a great image, it helps to tell a story like every great photograph should, that’s why we love our art form, its a captured moment in time.
After the lovely ceremony which the registrar handled so well, it was time for a drinks reception in a room at Tatton Park with a fantastic balcony looking over the grounds, unfortunately we couldn’t use this gorgeous scenery as it was absolutely bucketing down. So we took some images in a quiet room and on the balcony, the photography doesn’t have to suffer when the rain sets in you just have to think outside the box a little, which is great. We did manage to get outside for 10 minutes back at the evening venue when the sun made a wedding day appearance.
After a bus ride back to Spirit Restaurant it was time for the party to start, the guests (and lucky us) were treated to some truly wonderful food, music and great speeches, we particularly enjoyed the best mans speech it as very entertaining.
After the meal there was a photo booth and a casino which the guests partook in with vigour. Its great to gamble with other peoples money it brings out the reckless side. There was great DJ later on and he really got the crowd going, Ceri and Ank were the first to join in, they are such a fun stylish couple and we would like to thank them for such a fantastic day as we are sure all the guests would want to. It was a truly memorable day and we wish you all the very best for for the future we have rarely seen a better suited couple.
Tim and Amanda we cannot thank you enough, you have captured our day beautifully. The photos are amazing and we are so pleased with them. We have had so many positive comments about the photos- unfortunately they are on Facebook so you can’t see them, but everyone loves them!
Thank you for being such fun on the day and putting us at ease- in fact most of the time we didn’t even notice you were there!
You have captured some amazing memories for us that we will cherish for years to come.
Thank you so much.
Ank and Ceri
