We are recommended wedding photographers for the Inn at Whitewell, an imperious 17thc coaching Inn with period features, a touch of glamour and amazing food. Tom and Katherine both really loved our style of photography when they came to see us in our Uppermill studio We since shared Pinterest images so we all knew exactly the type of images we wanted to produce together on the day. This is our second wedding here  this  year and we were delighted to be chosen by them. In fact we are back for Robin and Jay’s Civil ceremony this weekend, can’t wait.

The day started at The Piggeries, which defies its name. Its a large comfortable stone building with beautiful views to the rear of The inn at Whitewell where Katherine and her family were staying. We  caught them with their beloved dogs and spent some time getting  shots together.

The ceremony at the quaint Church was delightful, and fortunately everyone  just managed to miss the pesky rain! We grabbed Tom and Kat for some photos together, in between rain showers. Later  the sun did come out again and we took them outside onto the Terrace. The view is stunning with 5 mile views towards the Lake district and overlooking the River Hodder.

After capturing the speeches we also did detail shots of the cakes and the great light up Love sign made by our friends Dorris Loves who custom made our brilliant Photo Booth stands. They had asked some of the guests to bring cakes. They certainly obliged with cakes of extraordinary skill and deliciousness….we know as we were privileged to be offered some! We had set up our photo booth in one of the large rooms and the guests really got into the spirit of it. They can take their photos from Facebook and we certainly noticed that a lot of profile pictures were changed in the next few days.

This wedding was a lovely relaxed affair and we were delighted to have captured their wedding photos for them. They are honeymooning in Mauritius and we send all of our love and best wishes from Tim Simpson Photography.
