Victoria Baths, Manchester. An amazing venue for such a great couple.
I’ve been absolutely itching to shoot a wedding at Victoria Baths in Manchester for years. Sean and Louis’s day was well worth the wait.
It was only a part day, 3 hour shoot for me. It’s a testament to Louise and Sean just how many great photos we were able to produce inn a short space of time, I literally didn’t taking photos for whole time, there was just always something to capture. The bride and groom, guests and venue all lent themselves to some great imagery, I hope you agree.
A truly unique wedding venue
The adjective ‘unique’ is definitely overused in wedding world, but it undoubtedly is spot on for Victoria Baths(and Sean and Louise!)
When it was built it was described as “the most splendid municipal bathing institution in the country”. I think it’s only improved with age. Its so good to see it being put to so many uses.
I’m a great believer in using the venue and surroundings to create my wedding pictures, you need great light too. Everything just fell into place.
Louise had sent trough some wedding images that she liked (luckily mine!) so we kind of all knew what to expect. Sean and Louise stepped up to the plate during our 30 minute photo session after the lovely ceremony. It’s always a collaboration and the more style and understanding the bride and groom have the better the photos.
Hopefully this set of images reflect what a little imagination can do when you are planning a wedding. You don’t need doves and ice sculptures. All you need is love.
