Please click on my BLOG to lots more images from my recent weddings. I only shoot 6 weddings a year to ensure that the creativity and quality is always there. If you would like to chat over any aspect of your day please get in touch HERE. I have shot well over 400 weddings and won many top awards. Basically if you would like your day covered in an artistic way but with minimum impact to the natural flow of the wedding we may be able to work together.

The Crab and Lobster Wedding of Emma and Paul

The fist time I met Emma she was one of the make up artists for Sara when she married Chris at Yorkshire Sculpture Park (HERE). I remember her because without doubt the tattooed rock and roll loving Emma stood out a mile to me from many other MUA’s I’ve seen. Fast forward 3 years and I’m at the super quirky Crab and Lobster in Thirsk photographing her marriage to Paul. The Crab and Lobster fits this fab couple perfectly and it was a pleasure to return.

Slightly Pregnant!

One thing that had changed though is that Emma was ‘slightly’ pregnant! Well you know what I mean, Emma is 4 months pregnant although I know for a fact that a few people didn’t realise and this did come as a bit of a surprise when Paul mentioned it later on in the speeches which was yet another thing to celebrate for the guests at this friendly intimate wedding, and celebrate they did.

The Quirky Crab and Lobster

As always we arrived nice and early, its always good to have a good look around the venue first to get the creative juices flowing and to plan some shots for later in the day. We met Paul and Emma in two really nice lodges to the rear of The Crab and Lobster, two new additions to this ever changing and evolving brilliant wedding venue. The lodges could not have been more different inside although identical on the outside. Emma’s room was very light and jolly with a seaside theme whilst Paul’s was dark and quite gothic. With Emma being a make up artist of some renound and with a definite eye for detail you always know she would look fab and she in no way disappointed at all, she really did look amazing as she walked down the isle shouting out to her nervously waiting groom Paul, this had everyone smiling and really set the tone for the day.

Creative Couples Portraiture

After the ceremony we had a walk round the gardens to grab some couples portraits, on our way back to Crab manor took a few shots of Emma and Pauls beloved VW Camper which they had made into a Photo  Booth for the day. As big car I fell in love with this fab bus, you can’t beat a bit of authentic patina an a classic vehicle, this girl had character in spades and really in keeping with this stylish couple.

Also well worth a mention were the brilliant flowers that complimented the day perfectly, supplied by Of The Wild in Sheffield

As an award winning restaurant you would expect the food to be ace and it was, another reason I always look forward to coming back to the Crab and Lobster, thanks Paul and Emma it was lovely 🙂

After the food-dancing, drinking and more merry making for this enthusiastic crowd. We left with the party in full swing and and for all I know they are still dancing now!

Our very best wishes go out to you Emma and Paul and wish you and your children a brilliant future, you deserve it. x
