Its been a long time coming
It was October 2019 when I first spoke to Laura and her Aunty about photographing her wedding at Hidden River Cabins, the planned date was July 2020 so its been quite a build up. It’s so good that Laura and Craig could go ahead at Hidden River, it absolutely suited them down to the ground.
Hidden River Cabins, the perfect venue
Laura and Craig’s day was a really friendly family orientated wedding and it’s venues such as Hidden River Cabins that really suit themselves to this atmosphere. It was really lovely with people milling around in the morning, sorting out those last minute jobs and just generally enjoying the grounds and countryside. Craig and the boys did a great job setting up the ceremony outside the cabin. As a photographer is lovely to be able to move around and get some different angles during the ceremony as you are often camped out in the corner of a room not being able to move very much. The whole day had a lovely feeling of space, I guess it would set in this gorgeous Cumbrian/Boarders countryside.
A wedding done with style
Planning events clearly is second nature for Laura, her stylish touch ran all way through the day. This is how weddings should be done. It was a friendly relaxed atmosphere for family and friends. Everywhere you looked people were chatting away, enjoying a drink, lovely food and children playing. From the heartfelt speeches to the dancing and beyond this day really is one that will live long in the minds of everyone lucky enough to been there.
I hope you enjoy this collection of images, I really struggled choosing which images to show you, there were just so many so I’ll let those images do the talking now and I hope they give you a real flavour of just what this wedding was all about.
