As you can see by this Saddleworth Engagement shoot photography I’m not short of beautiful countryside where I have my studio. Natalie and Tim were keen to make the most of this as they are local to me too. The weather has been pretty amazing recently so we had a lovely morning exploring the local countryside which is situated at the start of The Peak District.

We walked up Alderman’s hill which legend has it that two giants (Alphin and Alderman) fought each other by throwing and bolders (their ‘kitchen utensils’) at each other across the valley. These boulders can be seen in the photos and are popular with local climbers(including me!). They fought to win the heart of Rimmon, the water nymph who lived below Chew Brook. Locals now call this area Pots ‘n’ Pans as a reference to the rocks thrown. So I though it was quite apt that there was a “love’ theme to these hills to reflect Tim and Natalie’s affection for each other. They are getting married next year so we have plenty of time to plan how their wedding images are going to look, I think we are off to a good start though don’t you.
