With wedding season well and truly underway, we have been busy bees photographing some of our gorgeous couples’ tying the knot all over the country-one gorgeous couple’s that we had the pleasure of photographing being Fay & Nick’s wedding in the beautiful village of Uppermill, right on the doorstep of our studio & gallery space. It was so nice to be working so close to home, especially at such a fantastic wedding!
We arrived at Fay’s parents place just in time to capture the moment when she put on her wedding dress, a stunning vintage style lace number with beautiful detailing from Blush Bridal Boutique, Uppermill.
After spending a short while at the house, we then moved on to St Chads church to photograph the ceremony. The setting was very picturesque and the church very grand and had a lot of period charm about it. The ceremony itself was very personal, with Fay and her family (and Nick, too!) having known the vicar for many years and their popularity was obvious by the packed out pews at St Chads.
After the ceremony, we met Fay & Nick in Uppermill park where we took some fab styled couples shots there and throughout the village, including in the Cupcake Kitchen (check out our fab video on their website) who were kind enough to let us hijack their cosy shop for a few shots! We then moved on to the Saddleworth Hotel, a very regal wedding venue set in the heart of the country lanes of Saddleworth and another place we are well acquainted with. The drinks then began flowing, food served and laughter filled the venue. When the sun began to set we couldn’t resist grasping the opportunity to whisk Nick & Fay away for a few couple shots in the peaceful grounds of the Saddleworth Hotel where they got stuck right in with us, taking our direction really well and making for some awesome natural images of them both enjoying their first moments as husband and wife. It was then onto the photo Booth! The guests certainly didn’t shy away from dressing up in silly gear and created some fantastic and hilarious images of themselves enjoying the day for Fay & Nick to look back on in their guest book.
It was great to see some familiar faces and to be in the setting of our pretty home village, a big celebratory cheers to Fay & Nick and their families and a massive congratulations to a wonderful couple.
