This is how to do a wedding
Some weddings just feel effortlessly joyful, and Tom and Amy’s day at Bella Vista in Milnrow, Rochdale was exactly that. Set in the peaceful Lancashire countryside, their wedding was filled with warmth, laughter, fun, family and an easy-going vibe that made photographing it a real pleasure.
As a creative and artistic wedding photographer, I always love working at venues like Bella Vista – the beautiful gardens, and stunning views give me everything I need to tell a wedding story with style and atmosphere. Sometimes it feels wrong to get paid for doing something that I enjoy so much, especially when many other people have real jobs!
Creative Trust Makes Great Photography
What made this wedding extra special for me as a photographer was the trust Amy and Tom placed in me. When couples give me the creative freedom to work in my own style, the results are always more personal, more meaningful, and more emotionally honest.
There was no shot list, no forced posing(there never is with me TBH) – just the natural flow of the day, and me quietly capturing the magic. It’s a privilege to be trusted like that, and it shows in the final images. This is one of those sets I’ll always look back on with pride.
