A couple of weeks ago we photographed the wedding of Marisa and Jon in a venue very local to us- The ever-so-swish Saddleworth Hotel. We had also previously photographed the lovely couple’s engagement shoot in London, images of which you can find in our previous post here! We began capturing the bridal preparations shots in the very elegant bridal suite at the Saddleworth Hotel. There was a buzz of excitement flying round the room, alongside a few glasses of fizz and a lot of giggles.

Once the girls were all spruced up and dressed to the nines, it was then onto the ceremony which took place at Mossley Methodist Church. It was a very moving and heartfelt service and emotions were high, though there were a few light hearted moments to get the guests chuckling. Marisa and Jon are a very warm couple, and we felt very welcome on the day, which allowed us to get stuck right in with the photography and the wedding filming which we were also capturing for them.

The guests were all in good spirits and after the ceremony it was party time! Back to The Saddleworth Hotel for a little stroll in the woodland area with Marisa and Jon, then some grub and the speeches. Marisa’s mother gave a lovely speech and it was very moving to listen to! You can just tell the strong family connection that these lot had and that family was a very important aspect of their lives.

After the meal it was photo booth time…. and as ever these lot didn’t disappoint! The night ended with a bang, literally, as there was a beautiful fireworks display for all the guests to enjoy after the sun went down. It was a pleasure to be part of such a fun-packed wedding and we thank Marisa & Jonathan and their family and friends for having us along on the day!
